Hey Darlings,

This has been a looong time coming, but I’m FINALLY at the point where I’m ready to license my first collection: Monarch Picnic. I've decided to focus in on Wallpaper first. You can learn more about it on my website in my bio.

Licensing my artwork has been a BIG goal of mine since 2022, and I’ve been steadily working toward it—day by day, a couple of hours at a time—in the midst of motherhood.

Some key milestones along the way: learning Illustrator and Photoshop, refining my artistic style into a cohesive body of work, creating a repeatable workflow, copyrighting my artwork, deciding which industries to focus on first, building a portfolio and website, sending out my first pitches, and marketing my artwork on social media. Each step quietly built the self-confidence that got me to this point. It’s been a steep learning curve, but I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share my work (hopefully worldwide!) over the course of my lifetime. Now that I’ve made it through this process once, that foggy barrier has lifted—and I can’t wait to bring several of my “half-done” collections and future ideas across the finish line, too.

Going to take a break from instagram cause I’m celebrating my 11th Wedding Anniversary with my darling Casey.

About us
- we met at audio engineering school in 2013. we instantly hit it off goofing around over being Zombie engineers. I crashed my car a week before graduating which brought us together cause he gave me rides to school. We wept when I left for my internship in Vegas cause I didn’t know if we would ever see each other again. We dated long distance for a year flying back and forth between Nashville & Vegas. I got pregnant in November, found out in January & he moved to be with me with literally a single suitcase. We were married in April & had our first baby in August. It was an insane time. Those first 7 years were honestly so challenging finding our footing as adults, discovering our confidence & talents, growing our family, finding a career Casey could thrive in, me overcoming my anger & depression. But by the heavens I can’t deny we are genuinely made for each other. He is my anchor. My heart. My other half. He is the person I feel alone with in the best of ways. He is my refuge and my safe place. He is my mirror. He encourages us to self reflect and communicate. We are in it for the long haul.

The Birth Flowers Collection began as a deeply personal journey. While pregnant with my fifth child, I experienced a miscarriage—a loss that left me grieving and longing to have all six of my children together here on earth. To process that pain, I turned to my art, illustrating the birth flowers of each of my children as a way to honor them.

Once I completed those six, I knew I had to continue. I created the remaining six birth flowers as a gift to all mothers—because every child, every story, and every love deserves to be remembered and celebrated.

Apricots & Butterfly 🍑🦋

This piece is especially close to my heart. Inspired by my grandpa Jan, it weaves together the fleeting sweetness of life with the beauty of transformation. I really enjoyed my first time at this market & finding these beautiful pieces for my spring decor. 🌸🌷🌻

An additional intent in going was to observe the booths & audience to see what people were gravitating toward, popular items & booth setup ideas for future markets I’m involved in. It was fun doing a bit of “onsite” research in finding inspiration. LOTS of florals - critters with clothes, mixed aged metals, mixing + matching textured fabrics and more. People purchased smaller items for convience and preferred artwork that was already in a frame over them needing to find their own frame. From looking over stink people lived items in premade gift sets. Also wanted things displayed in a way it demonstrates how it could be used in their actual home.

I loved chatting with Makenna & Katie about their artwork and appreciate them taking the time to connect with me.

This market is a bi-annual event here in St George in the spring and fall. I was considering doing the event in the fall but I think I’ll hold off and apply for the spring 2026 market since my art style is more springtime floral feeling. Plus it will give me more time to build out my holiday catalog.
